I recently took my family to Uminohana for a much-needed getaway, and it was a memorable experience. The hotel is set against stunning mountain slopes, providing a unique architectural beauty that feels both homey and leisurely. Our room had an expansive ocean view, and the onsen baths—one outdoor and one indoor—were a delight for all of us, especially our youngest son. Each day began with a kaiseki breakfast that was a feast for the eyes and palate. My wife and I appreciated the attention to detail, while the kids enjoyed trying new dishes. The big public bath, which we reserved for private use, was another highlight that allowed us to unwind together. In terms of family-friendly activities, we took a short shuttle ride to Nagisa Park, where the boys explored the playground and enjoyed the seaside. The proximity to Atami Golf Club was also a bonus for me, allowing me a quick round while the family had fun exploring. Uminohana is an excellent choice for families seeking a blend of relaxation and adventure in a welcoming setting. I highly recommend it for your next family vacation!
